The story behind my name.

                                                   THE STORY BEHIND MY NAME

My name is Oyeneye Oyenike. My first name is Oyenike, which means royalty that comes with honor, respect and dignity. It is a family name from the generations of my ancestors. It also depicts the story of my forefather who was denied his throne because of jealousy from his stepbrothers and sisters. As a result he had to move to another town with his family and some of his subjects who were loyal enough to follow him. They started another tribe which is still in existence today in the southern part of Nigeria. Ogun state to be precise.

I love my name because whenever a person who understands the meaning hears it, he or she will definitely ask if I am from a noble family. Although neither of my grandparents or my parents is a king or queen, the name portrays us as though they are.
In addition, my first two names have the same beginning 'OYE' because they both represent my noble ancestry. In conclusion, royalty or chieftaincy comes to the picture whenever my name is mentioned, and it is a hundred percent traditional and African.
